Please observe the following:
Please be aware that this is a special competition that require s a high level of preparation and fitness
Please be aware that there may be special problems to overcome for eg.
– Difficult conditions and weath (night, wind, cold, poor visibility)
– Physical and mental difficulties from extreme fatigue can occur.. Problems with digestion, muscle and joint pain, small injuries
– Please be aware that the organisation isnt there to overcome all the small problems of the runners
– You must be aware that this type of race in nature, the safety is up to the abilities of the
participant and you should be flexible to adapt to the conditions and problems that may arise
– Please note that PARTICIPANTS who throw away rubbish on the route will either be penalised or banned from the competition
There are no drinking cup´s at the CP !!!
It is possible to by “fold a cup” at the briefing
This competition is a solo race with self sufficiency between the checkpoints.
Please observe the following:
– At the checkpoints tere will be drinks. Water is available from containers and water bags will be available. Each runner must make sure that he has enough fluids when leaving a checkpoint to reach the next one.
– Personal help from support crews is ONLY at the CP allowed. Help from professional trainers, doctors or other medical personnel though is strictly not allow.

Each participant can take out a insurance policy for Euro 12 per person. This insurance guarantees a refund for PARTICIPANTS fort he following reasons
-An accident or bad sickness or the death of the participant. Hospitalization or death of participants partner int he last 30 days before the race.
-In the case of an accident or sickness, a Doctors certificate stating the participants inability to participate is necessary
-Every other reason for not participating must be certified as to why by the appropriate authorities.
-Refund conditions: Each refund request to the organisers, must be accompanied by the Doctors certificate no later than 10 days after the competition. The requests will be dealt with in order they are received in the two months following the event.
CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION
Each cancellation must be made by email or registered letter. Cancellation notification per Telefone or fax is not possible. If the cancellation is due to one of the above mentioned circumstances and the participant has taken out an insurance then the participant can make use of this insurance. In this case the cancellation and the appropriate certificates must accompany the request, (see above). If the participant doesn’t make use of the insurance then the following refund rules apply:

between 15th of feb until 15th March 50%
between 16th March until 30th april 40%
After the 30th of April – no more refunds
An exchange of the start number is not possible
– Walking sticks: if the participant decides to use these then they must be carried throughout the entire competition.
– Warm change of clothing in case of cold or rain
The start number must be worn on the breast or stomach area. And must be clearly visible through the whole competition. It must be attached to the outermost layer of clothing and is not allowed to be attached to the backpack or on the leg. The name and logos of the partners are not allowed to be changed or hidden. The start number should never be removed. (except for a conflict due to not following the instructions of the organisers )
SAFETY and MEDICAL HELP
Each participant who has a serious injury can ask for help by:
– Asking at the next controll point
– By asking another runner to request help at the next control point. (each runner who finds another runner in danger or in need of help must render aid and inform the organisers or medical staff) . Please be aware that due to difficult circumstances can arise during this competition and can lead to delays in medical personnel reaching the injured or sick- Your safety can be dependent on the things you carry.
The rescue teams are authorised to:
– To withdraw runners from the competition (by removing their start numbers)
– To remove or evacuate participants who are in danger in whatever way they see fit.
– To deliver participants to hospital if neccessary. The costs for special evacuation methods must be carried by the runner themselves. It is the responsibility of the participants to then seek a refund from their own accident insurance.
CONTROL POINTS and FOOD and WATER POINTS
Each runner will get a start number and a control card which he/she must show at each controlpoint
There will be two types of control points
-Points where there will be drinks (still water, energy drinks, cocoa, coffee, tee, noodle soup)
-Completely equipped control point which will stock drinks as above plus energy bars, cakes, bananas and crackers.
At each control point the rubbish bags must be used. Runners who throw away rubbish in other areas will be penalised
The maximum time allowed fort he course is 26 hours
Participants must have passed Schwarzenbach/Pielach at 61km before 13 hours have passed.
The time limits are so calculated that each runner can still make the maximum time limit fort he finish line whereby calculations have already been made for breaks, food stops etc.
If a runner pulls out but wants to continue ont he course after he has already given up his/her start number does so at his/her own risk and must supply everything themselves.
In the case of bad weather or safety issues the organisers reserve the right to Stop the competition or to change the time limits.
REST PAUSES and SHOWERS
Rest pauses can be made at any time by the runners. It is recommend to have longer rests at the control points
At the finish line in Ober-Grafendor ESV Heim there are showers available
WITHDRAWAL from the RACE and TRANSPORT back
Runners may only, (except in case of injury) pull out of the race at the control points. He/she must inform the helpers a the control point,
Each participant can keep their start numbers which will enable them to make use of food and help etc
The transport back will be organised by the control point helpers and is only possible at certain control points.
In the case of bad weather or other reasons for stopping the compeition the organisers will make sure all runners are transported back as soon as possible.
If a runners pulls out of the competition the runner must inform the organisers
From this point of time the runner is no longer under the control of the organisers
The route will be well marked.
At night time or at dusk reflective stripes will be laid out.
Attention: go back if you cant see any more markings
Always take the marked trail never any short cuts
PENALTIES and DISQUALIFICATION
The competition commissioner on the route and the post helpers at control points are authorised to control that runners are following the rules and any deviance will be penalised according the following table
Breaking the rules of the compeition – disqualification
Short cuts that make a big difference – Penalty one hour
Leaving the marked trail without shortening the distance markedly- Penalty one hour
Throwing away of rubbish by runner or his/her supporters_ Penalty one hour
Not respecting other people (organisers or runners)- Penalty one hour
Not helping someone in difficulty- Disqualifikation
Being accompanied by cyclists or runners – getting food or other things on the course or at the CP´s- Disqualification
Cheating eg with vehicle; exchanging start number- Disqualifikation
(walking sticks used as weapon against other runners or spectators- Penalty one hour
Not running through a control point- will be decided by competition jury
Not following the instructions of organisers, helpers or medical staff- Disqualification
(*)The penalties 1 hour must be made immediately. That means the runner must Stop at that point for duration of the penalty
CANCEL the RACE or change the ROUTE
The organisers reserve the right without notifying anyone before to change the route. The control points or safety poing. By bad weather, rain or lightning danger the competition may be postponed by up to two hours after that the organisation will cancel the run
In the case of bad weather or safety problems, the organisers have the right to Stop the competition ort he time limits
If for any reason the race has to be cancelled 14 days or more before the start and the entire registration costs will be refunded
Public liability insurance: The organiser has fort he duration of the competition a public liabiltiy insurance. The insurance covers the financial consequences of the organisers responsibility, for each of his workers and runners.
Each runner must have their own accident insurance that includes possible search party costs. Such an insurance can be taken out at any insurance company.
Evacuation by helicopter will be charged to the runner. The method of evacuation will be decided by organiser or medical staff, safety being our first priority
Each PARTICIPANT can choose to have a supporter but only for help at the CP.
RANKING and PRIZES
For the competition there will be a general ranking for men and women
Each finisher gets a medal and a finishing t shirt.
Each runner with their own sponsors are allowed to wear such logos but only insofar as they dont cover any of the organisers sponsors logos
Pictures taking during the event belong tot he organisers and runners have no rights over these pictures.
Publicising of any pictures taken during the event must be done with respect tot he event and the sponsors logos and with permission of the organisers.
each runner have to take one Euro in an envelope, with his bib number, to the runners check in – will given to a charity – proof you have read this information.
